How Kids Can Learn Music 2-4 Times As Fast

I took music lessons, privately one-to-one, as a kid. I remember how excited I was to learn the instrument, but had no idea the amount of work and time it would actually take to “learn” or “achieve” the skills I had wanted.

Unfortunately, I fell asleep in lessons because they were boring, and I was expected to “get it” the song or lesson at home by working on it by myself. That’s tough for a kid to experience. No wonder I quit! Yes, I did!

I wish I had known what I know now as an educator.

Over the past 10 years, I found a way to help student learn music 2-4 times as fast.

Here’s an example of a student who’s been with me for 20 months: (Owen Barton)

Video of Owen playing Solo.

Video of Owen playing live on Stage (Freebird or similar).

It took me so MANY YEARS in order to even reach that level, He did it in 20 months.

How is this possible? I’ll tell you.

The Core Skills Training Program

This is a weekly, multi-class experience for students designed for students 8-14.

On average, students in this program move 5 years of standard education in under 2 years.

Here’s a sample of what your child will experience:

  • Students learn a song weekly, achieving about 12-15 songs in 3 months alone

  • Students get, at minimum, twice the average time with our instructor than the average program

  • Students learn valuable skills, at their level of ability, all with the guidance of our instructor so they understand what to work on at home

  • Students play with the REAL song in class to “click” everything into place and prove they’ve achieved the song. This means, they can play the song anywhere, anytime, with the actual song

  • Within months of our training, many students are able to learn their very own favorite songs

Here’s what you get when you join our program:

Weekly Skill Training Classes
- This is where our students grow big time. Each week students are learning important musical skills and concepts and see how it connects wiht real music, every single class. Unlike the average studio, students aren’t just taught and forced to practice on their own.

Skill Focused Development - Our method incorporates skill level tracking, students playing together

Peer-To-Peer Learning Engagement - Music is a communal experience. Any artist or song you listen to 99% of the time features playing music with other people. By playing with other students, your child will gain the valuable experience of working on their timing, and see students at higher levels of ability, which encourages and supports them as they are growing.
