Learn Music, Together!

What does “Learn Music, Together!” mean?

Learning Music, Together! is a modern concept of music education blending Group Format Lessons with Performance-Based experiences. By merging these two pieces, a student is given the opportunity to experience a whole and complete musical education.

Where most music lessons feature the one-to-one lesson aspect, we offer experiences that not only provide an inspiring education, but also engrain musicianship and performance concepts, such as:

1. How to play with others

2. Developing confidence to play/sing in front people

3. Setting and achieving higher goals such as learning a song, writing music, joining a band or trying out for a lead role in a band or play.

Learning Music, Together! focuses on instrument knowledge and achievement that gives students a deep fulfillment in knowing they are not just learning an instrument, but playing real music, from day one!

How Does The Music Circle Work?

When you join The Music Circle, you are joining a community of musicians dedicated to learning, growing, having fun with music, and supporting you along the way.

Students are organized into instrument specific classes and each person is assigned material appropriate to their level of ability to accomplish the necessary skills.

Students then apply these taught skills to real songs, so they can see the big picture of “the why” of what they are learning, own their part and role inside of it, and accomplish it.

The most rewarding part of all is when a student takes the song they’ve learned in class, then plays with other students in a band! Nothing quite gives the student (and in case of children - their parents) the joy of learning music than playing music live.

Is The Music Circle Right For Me or My Child?

Learning music takes time and choosing the right instructor usually determines if a student sticks with it or not.

Most students or parents decide which lessons are right for them solely based on schedule, location, and cost. However, that does not determine the quality of the teacher, the education, nor whether YOU will have a positive or negative experience.

We recommend researching the school’s reputation, attending multiple lessons a week, asking them about their teaching methodology, and see if they have a proven track record producing happy students and families.

The difference between an okay and a GREAT education can make all the difference in the results of the actual lessons and whether you or your child will stick with it or not.

FAQ

  • We enroll students ages 8+

  • Much like school and college, our students learn and play together in classes. They are provided individual training, challenges, and feedback in every class from our trained instructors. We do not offer traditional private lessons.

  • If you’ve even been part of a classroom experience, yes! Group lessons take the pressure off you as the individual to learn the necessary skills in front of a professional and simultaneously develop your personal confidence over time. Plus, it’s fun to be a part of a supportive community and play music with other people. You’re a part of the band! How cool is that?

  • Our general schedule runs Monday through Thursday after 4PM. Contact us to learn more about specifics.

  • You get what you pay for. A cheap lesson creates poor results, which creates a frustrated student, and ultimately, a quitter. We do offer a scholarship program to select youth students. Book a school tour so we can go over all these details with you, or give us a call/email for a faster reply.

  • All songs are comprised of common skills and techniques, that must work together in order to play music. Many of our students, after learning these skills and techniques in songs, are able to learn their songs on their own.
